Futures Platform expands its futures intelligence coverage with Futurist Partner Insights
Foresight experts bring regional depth and industry-specific perspective to Futures Platform’s core collection of over 1500 future phenomena analyses.
FUTURE PROOF – BLOG BY FUTURES PLATFORM
Futures Platform today introduced Futurist Partner Insights, an expansion of its futures intelligence coverage that brings together the perspectives of established external foresight experts alongside the platform's core research collection.
The first three partners — Deborah Hayek of Resonance Innovation (North America), futurist Dr. Sohail Inayatullah (Australia), and Thailand´s FutureTales Lab (Southeast Asia) — sharpen the platform's coverage across these regions and industries.
Until now, the more than 1500 future phenomena analyses available on Futures Platform have been authored and curated by its in-house futurist team. Futurist Partner Insights opens the platform to established futurists and attributed expert voices from the wider foresight community, offering a deeper view of how change unfolds differently across markets and sectors. The same global signal rarely lands the same way in a Bangkok boardroom, a European HR function, the US financial markets, or Asian labour markets.
For its first cohort, Futures Platform chose one partner from each of its principal markets beyond Europe — North America, Asia and Australia. Each brings a distinct perspective that the platform's clients can now follow as an ongoing, attributed perspective rather than a one-off report.
"Our mission at Futures Platform has always been to expand the views on possible futures. Bringing in outside experts is a deliberate next step. Futures intelligence gets richer when more than one informed view is in the room, and sharper still when those views are grounded in a specific region or industry. We're excited to bring these three partners on board, and they are only the first of many to come,” says Dr Tuomo Kuosa, Futures Research Director at Futures Platform.
About the Futurist partners
Deborah Hayek (North America)
Deborah Hayek is a corporate foresight and innovation expert with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Hayek's contributions centre on three areas: the future of financial institutions and fintech through an emerging-technology lens; the near-term trends that matter most to corporate executives; and the longer-range "wicked problems" - complex, high-impact challenges on a 10–15 year horizon.
Across them, she traces how artificial intelligence, data, culture and shifting power are changing the way companies operate, from AI stepping in as the new intermediary and digital twins standing in for stakeholders, to workplace surveillance, generational power shifts, and the slow breakdown of inherited operating models.
Sohail Inayatullah (Australia, with a comprehensive Asia focus)
One of the most influential figures in futures studies and the creator of Causal Layered Analysis, Inayatullah brings depth as well as breadth to Futures Platform’s coverage. His contributions interpret demographic, technological, and social shifts such as ageing populations, the changing shape of families and AI's next wave through the worldviews and consequences specific to Asia. His analyses have been edited to their final format by his team editors, Ahmed Shakil and Barbara Maingon.
FutureTales Lab – Southeast Asia
As ASEAN’s first centre dedicated to futures studies, FutureTales Lab brings a distinctive perspective on emerging change. Its work spans hard-edged economic phenomena shaping the region’s future – from climate risk as a production input cost, food as strategic power, AI as general-purpose infrastructure, and the growing importance of experience-led value creation in tourism and culture – alongside a unique body of work exploring humanity’s future in space.
The FutureTales Lab collection has been developed by the lab’s foresight team.
What Futurist Partner Insights adds to Futures Platform
Different expert perspectives. Each new phenomenon carries the perspective and expertise of an established foresight expert, adding new depth to the collection.
Regional depth. The same global shift rarely lands the same way in every market. This first cohort brings dedicated coverage of the Americas, Asia and ASEAN, surfacing how change signals and future trends plays out in a specific region.
Industry-specific focus. Alongside broad megatrends sit closer readings of particular sectors — among them financial services, fintech, and the future of work and HR.
More than one version of the future. Different experts read the same horizon differently. Following several of them at once makes it easier to hold competing possibilities in view, rather than settling on a single official forecast.
More partners to come
This first cohort is the start of a wider programme. Futures Platform expects to add further contributors from established futurists to the platform over time, broadening both the regions and the disciplines its clients can follow.
Availability
Futurist Partner Insights are available to Futures Platform clients now, as of June 2026, alongside the platform's core phenomena collection.
